The important things…
Some say it was fate, some say devine intervention, but two 18 year old kids met in a college dorm in Fresno, CA in the fall of 1979. Both were there to get a degree, have fun, and learn about life. Both were athletes and admired each other’s experiences in life. They became best friends and did everything together, often on the cheap as they were college students. They met each other’s families and soon knew they were a good fit. Upon graduating, I married my college sweetheart, Susan, and started our life together. We’ve been married for over 40 years and have two sons and two beautiful grandchildren. After I got off active duty from the Navy, we moved to the Portland, OR area where we lived for 27 years. In 2022 we decided life is too short not to live near our children and grandchildren so we moved to Lake Lanier, GA and couldn’t be happier. The professional things…
Upon leaving the Navy after 11 years of active duty, I landed a great job working for a private company in Portland, OR. After three years my career path changed and, with my brother’s advice and guidance, I joined Smith Barney (where he was a Financial Advisor). I found my passion as I engaged with people to help invest their hard-earned money. I am extremely pleased to be a partner of Steward Partners Global Advisory. As a privately owned firm, we have no ties to a bank or other “overseeing” company. I’m working alongside a group of folks who I’ve trusted for over 25 years and enjoy them as people and professionals. The interesting things…
My greatest joy in life is my family. Susan and I are very proud of the sons we raised. We must have done something right because they turned out to be fine gentlemen. Our weekends often revolve around a family or friends event. We feel very fortunate to have both in our lives and cherish our time with our grandkids. I enjoy the outdoors, fixing things, helping friends, and tinkering in my home workshop. At the top of my bucket list is saving someone’s life.Send Us a Message
